hey man are you sure the chords are as open as this? when i listen to the album version it sounds like he has more of the strings held down like 65363 and 66888x etc. maybe give it another look. i know he shows how he plays it in the youtube video “elliott gives a songwriting lesson” but i still cant see. I would love it if you could let me know wat you find. Thanks somedude!
First I’d like to say after a good scouring of the internet, I feel your tabs for this song is most accurate. I’m still learning how to play the tried and true version of this song; however I do see/hear a conflict on how that Dsus4 is supposed to be played. After playing your tabbed Dsus4 and hearing Elliott’s Dsus4 in the song, I strongly believe it’s played x58×8x, high and low D’s not touched, F string muted with ring finger that on the G string. I hope I don’t sound too convoluted due to my lack of proper tablature vernacular. Let me know if what I’m saying holds any water. Thanks again for the tabs.
