Em/G C#dim
I have become a silent movie
    Am D
the hero killed the clown
             Em B7/F# C/G
can't make a sound, can't make a sound, can't make a sound
Em/G C#dim
nobody knows what he's doing
Am D (slide)B7*
still hangin' around
             Em B7/F# C/G

can't make a sound

Em/G C#dim
bored in the role but he can't stop

standing up to sit back down
Am B7
and lose the one thing found
Em/G C#dim
spinning the world like a toy top
Am D (slide)B7*
till there's a ghost in every town
             Em B7/F# C/G
can't make a sound, can't make a sound, can't make a sound
             G*
can't make a sound
D A C/G riff
eyes locked and shining
G B7
can't you tell me what's happening?

  1. Did you change the first chord (Em/G 3×2003) to leave the B string open rather than play the first fret (Em/G 3×2013)? I thought your version used to have that. Either way, great tab and great site. Thanks…

  2. Thanks for this, it is so beautiful.
He’s repeating “can’t make a sound” and meanwhile
each chord change is more beautiful than the next.
    Unbelievable.
